US Accelerates Deployment of Advanced Strategic Bombers

At a conference held in August 2026 in Ohio, a senior US Air Force official, General Dale White, revealed that the development of the two most important and secret aircraft of the US military – the new B-21 stealth bomber and the future F-47 fighter jet – is progressing at a much faster pace than expected, thanks in part to an additional budget of $4.5 billion.

The centerpiece of the project is the B-21 stealth bomber, manufactured by Northrop Grumman, intended to serve as a strategic spearhead. It is a massive platform capable of carrying both conventional and nuclear weapons, penetrating undetected through the most powerful adversary defense systems, and replacing aging assets.

The update comes just months after the Air Force sent a second unit of the series for flight tests. According to security sources, the first operational bomber is expected to land at a military base in South Dakota in 2027. The plan is to produce seven such aircraft annually, with a target of at least 100 units in total. To this end, the Pentagon has requested a grant of $6.1 billion for 2027 alone.

At the same time, the military is rapidly advancing the new F-47 fighter model, manufactured by Boeing. This product is defined as a "sixth-generation" aircraft and is expected to eventually replace the aging F-22s as the country's primary air superiority tool. Its maiden flight is scheduled for 2028, with a requested budget of approximately $5 billion.

The upgrade of the US fleet comes against the backdrop of global competition and the need to replace aircraft that have been in service for decades. The combination of stealth bombers and smart fighter jets marks the US transition to advanced aerial warfare, based on futuristic developments aimed at ensuring absolute control of the skies for decades to come.
