The Mothers of Sofi and Dor: "We’re in Love With Each Other"
When Sofi Daniel Benjamin and Dor Oz Cohen first met under the chuppah in "Married at First Sight," they did not think that a year later they would celebrate a brit for their eldest son. In an interview at the brit event, their excited mothers shared the match that turned them into grandmothers and discussed who the baby looks more like right now.

This little big will be: the participants of "Married at First Sight," Sofi Daniel Benjamin and Dor Oz Cohen, hugged earlier this month their first baby boy. In honor of the occasion, the happy families and all the friends from the show came to celebrate with them the brit ceremony of Eitan Yitzhak. The happy grandmothers Galit Benjamin and Tzvia Oz Cohen spoke with Galit and Ilanit and shared whether they dreamed that the match between them would end this way, what the parents they would be, and who the baby looks more like right now?
Sofi’s mother Galit shared that she did not believe that the meeting under the chuppah would end in a grandchild: "I met a guy from the production, we looked at each other and we said, 'Is this really happening?' I call it a miracle — it’s something we dreamed of, and we thank every day for it. We’re just two happy grandmothers."
Dor’s mother Tzvia added: "This is a surprise baby, and we’re happy with every moment since he came into this world. It’s a cosmic connection, and these energies don’t stop throughout this year — they accompany us, shake us, and cause us huge joy. This is our first grandson, and we are two happy grandmothers who are in love with each other."
What parents will Dor and Sofi be?
Galit: "They will be wonderful parents. Dor holds the baby in the most natural way, and Sofi is simply a lioness mother. She went through the birth like a lioness — I admire her."
Tzvia: "They are two amazing parents — take off your hat in front of them. They received it with great love and great joy, and all of us are here to wrap them, help them, and support them."
Tzvia, as a mother: "We know our children best. You know this thing that needed to be said to him without words? Not really. I think that feelings are something that is built over the years and with time. They will be perfectly fine in that part of the need to express feelings."
Galit said something new about Sofi when she watched this season in the episodes: "I always knew it, but she is so precise and thorough, to an extreme degree, about everything in her life, and it’s amazing. In my eyes, she is the most total — there are no such things. I always knew it, but this made it even more clear, also throughout the pregnancy, the birth, all the things, and she is very noble too. This is also one of the words I can use to define her."
"They were together for about three or four months and she got pregnant. Isn’t that stressful?"
Galit: "No, it’s a blessing. You accept it because I’m still open in love, and we really have a miracle. I still call it a miracle."
Dear grandmothers, who does the baby look more like right now — Sofi or Dor?
Galit: "Sofi’s lips, for sure."
Tzvia: "Sometimes when they look at him, he looks like Sofi, and sometimes when they look at him, he looks like Dor, so he’s Sofi-Dor."
Is there a dispute about who will take care of him more?
Galit: "We’ll manage."
Tzvia: "We won’t argue even for a second."
How excited are you right now?
Tzvia: "There’s an amazing atmosphere here, like at the wedding, only with the addition of a little chick."
Galit: "A big celebration. We’re all happy, it’s amazing here, and it’s fun."
