"The Israeli Bermuda Triangle": Police request help in locating a missing person between Tiberias and Safed
Katriel Nachman Kinan, 24, was last seen on Monday in the area of Guy Beach on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, on his way to Safed, and his whereabouts have been unknown since.
The police requested the public's help this afternoon (Friday) in locating a missing person at risk, 24-year-old Katriel Nachman Kinan from Beit Shemesh. He was last seen on Monday, August 10, at approximately 18:00, in the area of Guy Beach in Tiberias, on his way to Safed. His whereabouts have been unknown since.
According to the police description, he is about 1.74 meters tall, has black hair, a black beard, and brown eyes. He was wearing a white shirt and a black suit, a hat, a black backpack, and a dark brown tefillin bag. It was further stated that he wears prescription glasses and a yellow "Mashiach" flag pin.
The police and Kinan's family are asking for the public's help in locating him and emphasize that even information that seems marginal may assist in the search. The area between Safed and Meron has previously been dubbed the "Israeli Bermuda Triangle" following an unusual series of disappearances over the years. No fewer than ten people have disappeared since the establishment of the state in the area between Safed and Moshav Meron, with the cases of Haimnot Kasau and Moishy Kleinerman being among the most prominent. The police have previously emphasized that there is no common denominator between these disappearance cases. Alongside this, the characteristics of the area—open and forested terrain, mountainous topography, and a relative scarcity of surveillance cameras—can complicate search efforts.
