Barack Obama’s New Project: A Book Podcast

Former US President Barack Obama has announced the upcoming launch of his new podcast, "A Great Book with Barack Obama," on Instagram. The six-episode series will feature the former president discussing selected books with various guests. The names of the participants, described as thinkers, writers, and artists, have yet to be revealed.

The podcast launch is part of Obama’s effort to bring books back into the public consciousness: "At a time when fewer people are able to sit down with a book, it’s important to remember the joy and power that reading can provide. Books don't just tell a story – they change the way we see the world."

65-year-old Barack Obama, who finished his term as US President a decade ago, founded the production company Higher Ground Productions with his wife, Michelle. After focusing primarily on documentaries, the former presidential couple is now expanding their portfolio with this new podcast starring Barack.
