"The name 'Hamas' is destruction and ruin for the Zionist occupiers": Suspect arrested for incitement against IDF soldiers

Officers of the Crime Fighting Unit (YALAP) of the Gilad District, in cooperation with the 'Roeh' unit of the Judea and Samaria District, fighters of the MATILAN units of the Border Police (MAGAV) in Judea and Samaria, and forces of the 417th Territorial Brigade, arrested a 39-year-old resident of the territories in Jericho last night on suspicion of systematically publishing incitement content against IDF soldiers and words of praise for the terrorist organization Hamas, the police spokesperson reported.

According to the investigation, the suspect operated several social media accounts through which he systematically published inciting content against the State of Israel and IDF soldiers, including words of praise and support for the terrorist organization Hamas. Among his posts, the suspect wrote:

"God chose the name Hamas for us, and we did not know that its meaning in Hebrew is 'destruction and ruin', and this will be destruction and ruin for the Zionist occupiers."

He also urged: "Set ambushes and strike your enemies," while sharing images praising the leaders of the terrorist organization.

Police stated that the arrest was carried out following targeted intelligence activity by YALAP Gilad, during which evidence was collected and documented in the online space. During the operation, the suspect was located hiding in bushes near his home and was arrested by the forces.

Furthermore, the investigation revealed that the suspect is identified with the 'Muslim Brotherhood' movement in the northern Gaza Strip and is linked to activists of the terrorist organization Hamas in the Strip. The suspect was transferred for further investigation to the Ma'ale Adumim police station.
