Ministry of Health warns: Do not eat these meat, chicken, and fish products
During an inspection at a butcher shop, severe deficiencies were discovered, including the sale of expired products and the illegal freezing of fresh meat. The Ministry of Health calls on customers to dispose of the products immediately.
The Ministry of Health announces the destruction of beef, chicken, and fish products at the "Karnei Para" butcher shop, located at 21 Ezra ve-Nehemia Street in Dimona, following an inspection conducted by an authorized municipal veterinarian on behalf of the Ministry.
During the inspection, severe deficiencies were found, including the marketing of products in violation of the law, the freezing of fresh products, the thawing of meat, the grinding and seasoning of meat, as well as the presence of products without manufacturer labeling or expiration dates, in a manner that could endanger public health. Accordingly, by order of the municipal veterinarian, approximately 155 kg of beef, chicken, and fish products unfit for human consumption were destroyed.
The handling, storage, and marketing of beef, poultry, and fish products without the conditions required by law can be harmful to public health. A clear directive was issued by the Ministry of Health:
"The public that purchased products at this business that are unlabeled or expired is requested not to consume them and to dispose of them."
Against the backdrop of a series of recent health failures, it has become known that the Ashkelon District Health Office has issued an administrative restriction order mandating the immediate closure of the business "Tit'am Tavin," located at 41 Ha-Amal Street in Ashdod. The order, signed under the Public Health Protection Law, strictly prohibits food production, the entry or exit of goods, the reception of customers, or any other activity at the site.
