The latest Lotto draw on Tuesday provided great drama, as two participants were exceptionally close to winning the first prize of 80 million shekels, but were left without the massive sum due to just one detail.

In draw number 3952, the numbers 1, 9, 13, 20, 23, and 35 were drawn, while the strong number was 4. Two tickets managed to guess all six main numbers, a rare achievement in itself, but both failed to choose the correct strong number.

This small mistake made the difference between winning the first prize and winning only the second prize. Instead of sharing the 80 million shekel jackpot, each of the winners settled for a sum of 187,500 shekels on a regular ticket. Additionally, in the Double Lotto, there were two winners in the second prize category who received 375,000 shekels each.

This event illustrates how thin the line is in Lotto draws between a life-changing win and a major miss. While six correct numbers brought the winners a very respectable sum, the single strong number that eluded them prevented them from entering the list of the biggest prize winners.

Meanwhile, the first prize continues to accumulate and will stand at 80 million shekels in the next draw, which will take place on Saturday night. The public is expected to try its luck again, hoping that this time someone will succeed in cracking the full combination and becoming a millionaire in a single moment.
