Aviation giant returns to Ben Gurion Airport: prices for direct flights to the US

Good news for the Israeli aviation industry: the American airline Delta Air Lines officially announced today, Wednesday, its return to operations in Israel, after having suspended its flights to and from Ben Gurion Airport against the backdrop of the security situation in the region.

The aviation giant announced that starting September 6, it will operate a daily direct flight on the sought-after route between JFK Airport in New York and Ben Gurion Airport. The first flight will depart from New York on September 6 and land in Israel the following morning. The first flight in the opposite direction, from Ben Gurion Airport to JFK, will take off on September 7.

The route will be operated using Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, which offer four levels of service: Delta One business class, Premium Select class, Comfort class, and Main Cabin class. The company noted that the decision to return to Israel was made after a thorough security review and in ongoing coordination with government officials and aviation authorities, while giving top priority to the safety of passengers and crews.

For the flying public, this is a significant expansion of flight options to the US. The price of a round-trip ticket in economy class for the month of September will start at $1,565, including a cancellation option. The company recommends that passengers stay updated regularly on the website and in the app ahead of the departure date.
