First publication: Under the instruction of the Israel Prison Service (IPS) Commissioner and the Central District Commander Shlomi Sagi, administrative detainee Tal Yinon Dardik was transferred today (Monday) for medical treatment at Hadassah Hospital Mount Scopus. Minister Itamar Ben Gvir backed the decision.

Dardik, a resident of a farm in Binyamin and a father of four, has been on a hunger strike for nearly a month after being arrested on the claim that he violated an administrative order. Dardik's hunger strike is his response and protest against that same order which was issued, according to him, contrary to the law. Throughout his protest, the settler has suffered from recurring fainting spells alongside a deterioration in his medical condition.

As recalled, many expressions of support for Dardik were recorded among the Israeli public: among the protest demonstrations, hundreds of people participated in the reading of the Book of Lamentations last week, in front of the Russian Compound detention center in Jerusalem, where the settlement activist is being held.
