Police Commissioner: "We Will Not Allow Anyone to Harm the Election Process"
Police Commissioner Rav-Nitzav Dani Levy addressed reports of foreign attempts to influence the upcoming elections. He emphasized that the police will not tolerate any interference with the democratic process.
Police Commissioner Rav-Nitzav Dani Levy addressed reports today (Monday) regarding attempts by foreign countries to influence the integrity of the upcoming election system and clarified: "We will not allow anyone, and with an emphasis on anyone, to harm the democratic process." It should be recalled that about a month ago, Levy met with the dismissed Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara and Judge Noam Sohlberg to discuss the matter.
As previously mentioned, the Commissioner had already addressed the police's preparations for the upcoming elections and the appointment of the organization's new legal advisor in early June. In his remarks, Commissioner Levy emphasized the central role of the police in enforcing the law and ensuring the integrity of the election process in an equal and impartial manner.
He further clarified that all forces and units have been instructed to act decisively to prevent violations of election law, noting that the police will enforce the law with zero tolerance toward any party that attempts to sabotage the integrity of the democratic process.
