Beitar prepares for Austria Wien, awaiting UEFA decision
The team will resume training ahead of the match in Romania. Early next week, the club expects to learn its punishment following incidents involving fans during the two matches against AEK Larnaca.
Beitar Jerusalem returned to Israel on Friday from Romania after qualifying for the third round of the Conference League, having eliminated AEK Larnaca in a penalty shootout following extra time.
The players were granted rest on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday and Monday, the team will hold two training sessions daily, followed by a final session on Tuesday before flying back to Romania that evening for the match against Austria Wien (20:30, Sport3).
Beitar is expected to learn early next week what punishment it will face for the use of pyrotechnics by fans during Thursday's match. The ruling is also expected to address the throwing of objects onto the pitch during the first leg in Cyprus.
Luka Gadarani and Tomer Yosefi, who returned to the squad in the last game, may see action in the upcoming match, though they will start on the bench due to their recent lack of regular training and match fitness.
