National Insurance Institute announces upcoming branch closures for public reception
The National Insurance Institute has updated that public reception at the Bnei Brak branch will be suspended until mid-August, with further closures planned across the country later in the month due to the "Bein HaZmanim" period.
The National Insurance Institute, the institution designed to help the country's residents avoid financial distress due to factors beyond their control, has published a special notice for residents of Bnei Brak. During the "Bein HaZmanim" period, from July 30 to August 13, there will be no public reception at the local branch. During these dates, it will not be possible to schedule an appointment for a telephone conversation with a representative.
Despite this, the branch will continue to provide services to residents via online inquiries or the personal service website. Consequently, Bnei Brak residents are encouraged to contact National Insurance Institute representatives via the live chat, the national call center, or the online portal. The branch will resume public reception on Sunday, August 16. It was further announced that public reception at all other National Insurance Institute branches will be suspended from August 18, 2026, to September 1, 2026.
As previously announced, the government institution has launched a personal portal for employers in Israel to improve service efficiency. This platform allows users to perform ongoing operations, access information regarding work-related injuries, submit documents, and view correspondence. As part of this initiative, the National Insurance Institute has introduced a special benefit for July and August 2026.
Any employer who registers on the employers' website will be eligible for a one-time benefit of a 100% reduction in interest and linkage fees.
It should be noted that this promotion does not include fines charged during deduction audits and applies only to employers who meet the specific eligibility criteria.
