Former Appeals Committee Chair Sigalit Assayag-Tzruya joins Firon Law Firm

Advocate Sigalit Assayag-Tzruya, who served for the past seven years as chair of the Appeals Committee for Planning and Construction, Compensation, and Betterment Levies in the Central District, is joining the Firon law firm as a partner in the real estate department. She will head the firm's planning and construction practice.

During her tenure, she led the Appeals Committee, which heard hundreds of appeals regarding building permits, plans, betterment levies, and claims for depreciation. As part of her role, she dealt with the analysis of statutory plans, their interpretation, and the resolution of planning disputes with significant legal and economic implications.

Assayag-Tzruya has over 20 years of experience in the field of planning and construction. She began her professional career at the Tel Aviv District Attorney's Office and later managed the criminal department at the Ashdod Municipality, where she was responsible for enforcing planning and construction laws, business licensing, municipal supervision, and environmental protection. Subsequently, she served as the Commissioner for the Northern District in the State Attorney's Office, in the Department for Enforcement of Real Estate Laws, supervising the planning and construction sector at both national and local levels.

In her new role at Firon, she will accompany developers, companies, and landowners in promoting plans, zoning changes, maximizing building rights, betterment levies, and proceedings before planning institutions. In addition, she practices mediation.
