During a raid on a luxury villa in the moshav of Migdal, police seized 420 kg of cannabis and cultivation equipment. A 57-year-old Yavne resident has been indicted for illegal electricity theft totaling over 150,000 shekels.

Nearly half a ton of cannabis was discovered in a luxury villa in the moshav of Migdal in the north. Following a police investigation, an indictment was filed against a 57-year-old resident of Yavne who was arrested at the scene.
During a proactive operation on July 12, Northern District police officers searched the villa and located more than 420 kg of cannabis distributed across rooms on multiple floors. Authorities also seized documents, cash, and a significant amount of cultivation equipment, including fans, blowers, timers, water pumps, irrigation systems, and temperature gauges.
According to investigation materials, the defendant illegally connected the property to the power grid using a cable that bypassed the electricity meter. The indictment alleges that he consumed electricity worth over 150,000 shekels without payment.
Upon completion of the investigation, the Northern District Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment at the Magistrate's Court in Nof HaGalil-Nazareth, along with a request to keep the defendant in custody until the end of the proceedings.
