Searching for the grandmother in the morgue: "Her phone is still sending messages"

Alisa Gudes, a 63-year-old grandmother from Brooklyn, has been missing in Las Vegas for about two weeks. The search has taken a mysterious turn as her phone continues to send messages to family members, prompting relatives to check hospitals and morgues, as reported by the "New York Post".

According to the report, Gudes arrived in Las Vegas earlier this month to visit an old friend of 20 years. She left the apartment where she was staying, near the Strip, to visit a pharmacy and has not been seen since.

Her daughter, Kristen, traveled from New Jersey to Las Vegas to search for her mother.

"I am very worried. We checked in hospitals and even in morgues," she said.

The fear for Alisa Gudes' life intensified due to a suspicious detail: after her disappearance, messages began arriving from her phone to family members, but they suspect that the person behind them is not Alisa.

In one exchange with her niece, Alana Calloway, the person holding the phone claimed to be at a gas station and stated that Gudes' credit card was still active. When the niece offered to send money for gas, the person requested a Bitcoin transfer.

Calloway then decided to test who was really on the other end. She wrote that she would ask "Kelly" to help—a name that does not exist in their family. She noted that if it had been her aunt, she would have immediately asked who Kelly was.

Family members state that such a disappearance is completely out of character for Gudes. The friend with whom she was staying has been distributing flyers with her photo in the area where she was last seen, hoping for any information that might lead to her discovery.

Police have clarified that the friend is not considered a suspect in the case. As of now, Gudes remains listed as missing, and the search continues.
