The next war in the Middle East may not be against Iran

Middle East expert Dr. Eddie Cohen described in an interview with Tal Meir the potential for a war between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis in Yemen, amid escalating tensions and ongoing exchanges of fire.

According to Cohen, Yemen has become a central topic of discourse in the Arab world due to fears of a deterioration into a new military conflict. "There is going to be fighting in Yemen between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis," he assessed, noting that the Yemeni government might also join the campaign against the terrorist organization.

Cohen linked the tension to maritime activity, claiming that the Saudis are suffering significant damage following the Houthis' actions against shipping: "The Houthis are imposing a siege on Saudi ships only. The Saudis are being hit very hard."

Later in the interview, Cohen addressed the situation in Lebanon, referring to footage circulating in recent days in Lebanese WhatsApp groups that allegedly shows IDF forces filmed at close range in the south of the country. He warned that the video illustrates Hezbollah's ability to closely monitor the forces' activity even during a period when there is no widespread fighting in the sector.
