The beloved docu-reality show returns to screens: new season starts August 23
Following a highly successful season that garnered millions of views, the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation has announced the return of "4 Weddings." The show will air weekly on Sundays at 21:30 on Kan 11 and Kan BOX, featuring a new narrator, Alma Zack.
After an exceptionally successful season, in which the docu-reality series "4 Weddings" from Kan 11 reached millions of views across all platforms—including linear broadcast, the website, the app, and YouTube—with over 2.3 million total views, the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation has announced a new season.
"4 Weddings" returns to Kan 11 and Kan BOX starting Sunday, August 23, at 21:30. The new season, produced by Armoza Productions, features a new narrator: Alma Zack.
This season, 12 brides from all walks of life—religious, secular, LGBT, and non-Jewish—will compete for the title of the "perfect wedding," judging one another without mercy. Each week, four brides compete for the title of the best wedding, attending each other's ceremonies as guests to evaluate various aspects such as the venue design, the dress, the atmosphere, and the entertainment.
At the end of each wedding, the brides provide three scores from 1 to 10 for the ceremony, the dress, and the overall hospitality experience. Additionally, the three guests must agree on a joint score for the event as a whole. After four weddings, the participants meet for a toast to discover which wedding received the highest cumulative score. The winning couple receives a vacation abroad.
As a reminder, this format is reminiscent of the show "Come Dine with Me" (Bo'u Le'echol Iti), where participants evaluate the meals they are hosted at each day. The program is based on the British format "Four Weddings."
