Channel 14 received an additional financial sanction from the Second Authority for Television and Radio, totaling 85,000 shekels, following the failure to submit its revenue data for 2025. The new fine joins a previous sanction of 75,000 shekels imposed on the channel, bringing the total amount of fines imposed and applied in this matter to 160,000 shekels.

The story began after the Second Authority demanded that the channel submit revenue data, which is required by law to examine its compliance with the conditions applicable to it. License holders of a niche channel are required to provide the Authority with the necessary information by March 31 of each year.

Last month, the Authority announced that it was imposing a financial sanction of 75,000 shekels on Channel 14. At the same time, an additional conditional fine of 85,000 shekels was set, to be applied if the data was not submitted by July 9, 2026.

Since the data was not submitted by the set deadline, the Authority decided to apply the additional sanction as well. The Second Authority previously noted that repeated requests had been made to the channel and that an extension had also been granted for the transfer of the required information.

The Second Authority stated: "The matter is being handled with Channel 14. The Authority has imposed an additional financial sanction on the channel in the amount of 85,000 shekels, which is added to the 75,000 shekel sanction imposed on the channel for the failure to submit the data."
