Most Israelis break a glass under the huppah in a standard banquet hall, and some even take their families for a wedding weekend in Greece. However, Ksenia Tarantul (38) and her partner Oren Gadal (48) decided to take things a step further by getting married during the Burning Man festival.
The couple secretly tied the knot earlier this month. Tarantul recently posted an Instagram gallery celebrating Gadal's birthday, revealing the news and sharing moments from the wedding. She wrote: "This year I am arriving at your birthday in a slightly different status. Not just the woman by your side, not just your partner and soulmate, but in a very honorable and respected status—Your Wifey, Yes we did it!"
A Desert Wedding by 'Real Love'
Tarantul continued sharing details about the event, which had been kept secret until now: "This year, a date we will never forget was added to our story: September 5 at Burning Man 2026. Out of all the installations in the desert, we chose to hold our covenant of love, our wedding, right next to 'Real Love'—two adult figures holding hands, with a child still alive inside each of them. That is so us."
She added: "When we stood facing each other and read our vows, I told you: I cannot promise you perfect love, but I can promise you courageous love."
"In the Burn, I said yes to you. Yes to Tomer and Lior, yes to our family, and yes to everything we will yet build, discover, and experience together."
Celebrating a Birthday in a New Status
Turning to Gadal's birthday, Tarantul expressed her deep appreciation: "Today, on a day that is entirely yours, I mostly want to say thank you for being my man, my guy, my superhero. For who you are even when no one is watching. For the effort, the striving, the giving, and everything you do for our family. I see you, and none of this is taken for granted, nor ever will be!"
She concluded with a warm wish for their future: "I wish you to keep choosing and saying yes to life, to dreaming, to fulfilling, to daring, and not being afraid, because I am right here by your side."
