For the first time in Knesset elections, the Central Election Committee and Moovit are partnering to help voters locate polling stations and exercise their right to vote. The Moovit app will display detailed polling station locations and help find the nearest accessible station.

The new service is designed to assist voters with physical mobility disabilities who are registered elsewhere but eligible to vote at special accessible polling stations using a double envelope. This initiative aims to reduce information and transit barriers on election day.

Ziv Kabretti, VP of Product at Moovit, stated that the company is proud to harness its technology for the public good. The integration between Moovit maps and Central Election Committee data will allow millions of users, especially those with mobility needs, to plan their journey safely and easily.

Meanwhile, the Central Election Committee emphasizes that voting generally takes place at the registered station. Locating a nearby station via the app does not grant the right to vote there unless the voter meets statutory requirements.
