Behind the scenes of Israel's national vote lies a massive logistical operation involving approximately 1,500 workers deployed across 30 sites nationwide, including the Knesset, command centers, and special operations rooms. The upcoming 2026 Knesset elections require meticulous preparation, spanning diverse roles such as data entry, document scanning, vote counting, logistics, and coordination.

Comprehensive Logistical Deployment

The workforce is geographically distributed to ensure seamless execution on election day. Around 250 workers operate in the north, 500 in the center, 500 in Jerusalem, and 250 in the south. The age range of the personnel spans widely from 17 to 80 years old, bringing together a diverse cross-section of the population to support the democratic process.

"Managing human resources for an election project goes far beyond recruitment. It encompasses the entire process—from hiring and screening to training, placement, and real-time management," explained Arnon Rabinowitz from the Maof group.

Technological Innovation and GETJOB

A key challenge in managing such a vast operation is maintaining real-time visibility across all sites. This year, organizers introduced the GETJOB technological platform to streamline scheduling and attendance tracking. Integrated with GPS technology, the system verifies that workers are physically present at their assigned locations before registering their shifts.

  • Approximately 75% of workers handle logistics and operational tasks.

  • Around 15% serve as guidance and tagging representatives.

  • Roughly 10% manage command centers and administrative roles.
