JNF Approves 37 Million Shekel Security and Firefighting Aid for Communities
The Jewish National Fund approved a 37 million shekel program to enhance security and firefighting capabilities in 278 communities along the seam line and in Judea and Samaria.

The Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) has approved a comprehensive assistance program totaling approximately 37 million shekels to strengthen security and firefighting systems in hundreds of communities along the seam line and in Judea and Samaria.
Budget Allocation for Security
As part of the initiative, nearly 32 million shekels will be allocated to bolster security in 278 communities spread across 19 regional councils. The program was formulated based on professional criteria and mapping of communities in Judea and Samaria and the seam line, including locations situated up to 4 kilometers from the security barrier or the Green Line.
Under the plan, each eligible community will receive a grant of 50,000 shekels for establishing and upgrading gates and fences, installing cameras and monitoring equipment, purchasing tactical defense gear, and setting up guard posts. Regional councils will receive a base budget of 700,000 shekels each, alongside an addition of 15,000 shekels for every community within their jurisdiction, designated for upgrading command centers and expanding emergency observation and control capabilities.
Firefighting Equipment Support
Alongside the security budgets, approximately 5.15 million shekels will be allocated for firefighting equipment in 38 communities in Judea and Samaria. This aims to enable rapid local response during the critical first minutes of a fire outbreak until rescue forces arrive.
"A proper security gate, a camera that detects a threat in time, or equipment that allows halting a fire in the first minutes make a significant difference on the ground. Our responsibility is to narrow gaps against security threats and the danger of fires, and to strengthen the preparedness of communities adjacent to forests across the country," emphasized KKL-JNF Chairman Eyal Ostrinsky.
Twenty-seven communities with a history of fires or high risk levels will receive equipment worth 150,000 shekels each, while 11 additional communities will receive assistance of 100,000 shekels each.
