Ten years after the terrifying night in Paris that left Kim Kardashian deeply traumatized, a French court has issued its final ruling: awarding just one euro in symbolic damages to the 45-year-old star.

Kim Kardashian and her former stylist, Simone Harouche, who was with her at the Hôtel de Pourtalès during the infamous 2016 heist, specifically requested the symbolic amount. "The experience was profoundly traumatic and its impact has stayed with us," the two stated in a joint message to the Associated Press. "Today's decision is not about compensation, but about taking responsibility and acknowledging those who were harmed. Our hope now is to move forward and heal."

While the reality TV icon sought only a symbolic gesture, others received substantial payouts. The former night receptionist at the luxury hotel, who was forced at gunpoint to lead the robbers to Kardashian's suite, was awarded over 109,000 euros, while the hotel itself received 50,000 euros in compensation.

The brazen robbery took place in October 2016 during Paris Fashion Week. A gang of elderly French criminals, famously dubbed the "Grandpa Robbers," dressed as police officers, broke into the suite, bound Kardashian with zip ties and duct tape, and fled with more than six million dollars in jewelry, including a massive diamond ring.

Eight suspects were convicted last year, though they avoided further prison time as their pre-trial detention covered their sentences. With this final legal chapter closing, Kardashian can finally put the harrowing ordeal behind her.
