Kia is expanding its range of hybrid vehicles in Israel with the launch of two new models designed to offer fuel savings without switching to a fully electric vehicle: the Sportage Plug-in Hybrid and the Niro Hybrid (post-facelift).
The Sportage Plug-in Hybrid model comes with a powertrain producing 288 hp and an electric driving range of 68 to 88 km. It is offered in a Premium trim level that includes 12.3-inch screens, a panoramic roof, ventilated and heated leather seats, and advanced safety systems. The price is 220,000 NIS (215,000 NIS during the launch period).
The updated Niro Hybrid model features a facelift that includes design, equipment, and safety upgrades. It will be marketed in two trim levels (EX and Premium), and even the entry-level version includes 12.3-inch screens, 8 airbags, a sunroof, and dual-zone climate control. The price of the new model starts at 177,000 NIS (170,000 NIS at launch).
These launches complete a diverse hybrid offering for Kia in Israel, which now also includes the Sorento and Carnival, strengthening its position in the SUV and family vehicle categories.
As a reminder, the Osher Ad supermarket chain recently caused a stir by selling brand-new family cars, the Kia Sportage (first hand, 0 km), at its branches for 139,990 NIS.
