Kevin Porter Jr. Draws European Interest After Milwaukee Bucks Release
Former Milwaukee Bucks guard Kevin Porter Jr. is drawing strong interest from European clubs after being waived, according to reports. The American guard previously starred for PAOK Thessaloniki.

Guard Kevin Porter Jr. could make his return to European basketball after being waived by the Milwaukee Bucks last week, according to NBA insider Brett Siegel. The 26-year-old American guard, who stands 1.96 meters tall, is already drawing significant interest from top European clubs, though he has yet to decide whether to wait for mid-season opportunities in the NBA or pursue a career overseas.
Speaking on the Clutch Scoops podcast, Siegel noted that while NBA teams seeking backcourt depth and playmakers may target Porter later in the season, European clubs represent a very realistic destination. Porter previously spent time with PAOK Thessaloniki in Greece during the spring of 2024, averaging 22 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists across six games before returning to the NBA with the Los Angeles Clippers and later Milwaukee.
During the previous season with the Bucks, Porter averaged 17.4 points, 7.4 assists, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.2 steals over 38 games despite battling fitness issues and undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery in April. Over six NBA seasons with Cleveland, Houston, LA Clippers, and Milwaukee, he holds career averages of 14.4 points, 4.9 assists, and 4.3 rebounds in 309 appearances.
Beyond his on-court production, Porter's career has faced serious off-court scrutiny. In September 2023, he was arrested in New York following an incident involving his then-partner, former WNBA player Kysre Gondrezick. In January 2024, Porter accepted a plea deal for misdemeanor assault and harassment, completing a mandated intervention program. The NBA later ruled in July 2025 that his suspension had been served during his period away from the league.
