Violent Altercation Reported at Kabri Junction During Nationwide Protests
A violent confrontation erupted at Kabri Junction in the Western Galilee during anti-government protests, as dozens of demonstrations take place nationwide.
A violent altercation broke out this evening at the Kabri Junction in the Western Galilee during a protest demonstration.
According to eyewitnesses, a vehicle arriving from the direction of Ma'alot stopped at the junction, and the female driver began shouting curses and hurling severe accusations at the protesters. Subsequently, she allegedly attempted to drive her vehicle toward demonstrators standing at a pedestrian crossing.
During the incident, two passengers exited the car. According to those present, one of them violently snatched an Israeli flag from the hands of Rivka, a pensioner and resident of Kfar Vradim.
Witnesses stated that the assailant used the flagpole to try and attack other protesters and broke two flags. No physical injuries were reported, but a commotion ensued at the scene.
Dozens of protest centers against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the government, and the judicial overhaul accompanied tens of thousands of vacationers and revelers traveling on the roads from the north to the center of the country this evening. Key locations included the Coastal Road, Highway 6, Nahalal Junction, Kabri, Lohamei HaGeta'ot, Alonim Junction, Nahariya, Haifa, and Karkur.
