Five days following the elections to the 26th Knesset, United Torah Judaism senior MK Meir Porush stated Sunday that even in exchange for a draft exemption law, the party will not sit under Yashar! leader Gadi Eisenkot. Meanwhile, party chairman Yitzhak Goldknopf declined to rule out coalition options, stating that discussions are ongoing.

In the recent elections, United Torah Judaism secured 7 mandates, positioning itself as the largest ultra-Orthodox faction in the parliament. Senior party members Yaakov Asher, Yitzhak Goldknopf, and Meir Porush convened to coordinate their political strategy moving forward.

Addressing reporters outside the meeting, Porush rejected any cooperation with Eisenkot, emphasizing that no official outreach has been made. Goldknopf took a more cautious approach, noting that deliberations are still underway regarding potential alliances.

Despite ongoing political speculations, ultra-Orthodox factions have yet to receive formal overtures from potential coalition builders, including Benjamin Netanyahu and Gadi Eisenkot. Securing the draft exemption legislation for seminary students remains an absolute prerequisite for any future political alignment.
