A four-year-old girl from Jerusalem was evacuated today, Tuesday, to Shaare Zedek Hospital in serious and stable condition after choking on a grape at her home.

When MADA teams arrived at the scene, they found the girl unconscious, without a pulse, and not breathing. Medics and paramedics immediately began advanced resuscitation efforts, including chest compressions and artificial respiration. Using specialized medical equipment, they were able to extract the pieces of grape from her throat.

After her heartbeat was restored, she was transported to the hospital, where she remains sedated and intubated.

MADA paramedic Eliyahu Shlomi, senior medic Yair Aba Shaul, and medic Yishai Ruben stated:

"We received a report about a girl who had choked on a grape. Upon arrival, we realized we had to act quickly. We began advanced resuscitation efforts and, with the help of medical equipment, successfully removed the pieces of grape. Once her heart began beating again, we evacuated her to the hospital in stable condition, where she is now receiving further care."
