Dozens of participants blocked the light rail transit system near Bar-Lev and Zaks streets, hurled stones at police officers, and engaged in violent clashes within the celebration complex.
The disturbances began around 3:00 AM as crowds obstructed the light rail tracks and vehicular traffic in the area. Concurrently, a violent brawl erupted inside the event venue, endangering attendees.
Riots escalated as individuals threw stones and objects at security forces responding to the scene. Despite orders to disperse, the crowd refused to comply, prompting Jerusalem District police, Border Police, and Yasam riot units to deploy stun grenades and a water cannon.
Authorities arrested five suspects in connection with the violence and transferred them for questioning. Police emphasized their commitment to restoring public order and ensuring community safety following the attacks against citizens and officers.
