"I wanted to fulfill a dream": A young man from Buenos Aires stole a bus and drove passengers
Dressed in a driver's uniform, the suspect took over an empty bus and set off on the regular route. He picked up passengers who paid for the ride and was caught only after a minor accident that led to his exposure. During the investigation, he admitted: "I always wanted to be a driver."

A young Argentine was arrested in the Buenos Aires area after stealing a bus, posing as a driver, and driving unsuspecting passengers on a regular route. When asked why he did it, he explained to the police:
"I wanted to fulfill my dream of being a bus driver."
This is according to a report by the local newspaper "Diario Popular".
The unusual incident began in the early morning hours, when the man, dressed in a polo shirt of the bus company, boarded an empty bus that was standing at the starting station in the city of Pontevedra and began driving it. According to a report on the news channel "Todo Noticias", he drove along the route of line 236, stopped at stations, and picked up passengers who paid for the ride as usual - without any of them suspecting a thing.
The arrest: An undercover police officer boarded as one of the passengers
The fraud was exposed by chance, after the impostor driver slightly scraped another bus of the same company. The second driver recognized the vehicle but did not recognize the person behind the wheel, and immediately called his colleagues.
The police were called to the area and located the bus after it had already traveled more than 11 kilometers. At one of the stations, an undercover police officer boarded the bus as one of the passengers. When it was his turn to pay, he identified himself to the suspect and arrested him on the spot.
During a search of the detainee's body, a knife was found, and the bus, which suffered only minor damage, was returned to the company's fleet. The prosecutor in charge of the case, Fernando Capello, ordered the suspect to be sent for a psychiatric evaluation to determine if he was aware of his actions, and the investigation into his case continues.
