"I will blow you up": Police officer fired after threatening family, but will not be prosecuted
In one of the recordings collected during the investigation, a child is heard asking their mother: "Is this a policeman?", to which the father replied: "I am not a policeman, I am a criminal." Despite this, the DIPI decided to close the case, claiming that "the criminal process is not an appropriate framework."

The Department of Internal Police Investigations (DIPI) has decided not to criminally prosecute a police officer who threatened his wife and children, saying, among other things: "I will blow you up, I will stand on your neck." The closure decision stated that "the criminal process is not an appropriate framework."
In one of the recordings collected during the investigation, a child is heard asking their mother: "Is this a policeman?", to which the father replied: "I am not a policeman, I am a criminal." The Israel Police eventually decided to fire the officer from service, but the DIPI determined that despite the testimonies of the mother and children and the audio evidence, there is no need to prosecute the suspect. The closure decision stated: "Upon completion of the investigation and after examining the evidence, it was decided that the circumstances of the matter as a whole are not suitable for prosecution, as these are circumstances for which the criminal process is not an appropriate framework for clarification."
