"I will show you, I will kill you": Serious indictment against an abusive husband
The defendant and his wife have five children together, but a few weeks ago their relationship reached a breaking point. When refused to take the children for an outing, he pushed his wife and ran her over. Later, he threatened her and her father. According to the indictment, during another argument, he took a kitchen knife and threatened his wife.
In the Nazareth Magistrate's Court, a serious indictment was filed a few days ago against a resident of the North, attributing to him a series of severe violent offenses against his wife, reckless driving, and threats. According to the facts of the indictment filed by the police prosecution department, the couple, who have been married for about 15 years and have five children together, experienced ongoing disputes and friction that led the woman to leave their shared home and move to live at her parents' house in another town.
A few weeks ago, after the woman's request to take her children for an outing was refused, she arrived the next day together with her father at the daycare center where two of her young children, two-and-a-half-year-old twins, were staying. While they were trying to collect the children, the defendant arrived at the scene, confronted the woman, and took the children.
The indictment states that when the woman tried to prevent him from driving away, the defendant pushed her and put the children into the car. The woman tried to hold the open car door and shouted at him to stop, but the defendant closed the door with force, started driving at speed, and even drove the car wheel over the leg of the woman, who had fallen to the ground. Subsequently, the defendant threatened the mother and her father, who was at the scene, saying to him:
"I will show you, I will kill you."
As a result of the running-over incident, the woman was taken for medical treatment at a hospital, suffering from swelling, bruising, and abrasions.
It is further described in the indictment that on another occasion, following an argument that broke out at home, the defendant took a kitchen knife, approached the woman, and threatened her while holding the knife to her throat. The complainant moved away from him in fear, and when one of the young children woke up and started crying, the defendant lowered the knife and left the scene.
The indictment charges the defendant with offenses of reckless driving of a vehicle, simple assault of a spouse, and two counts of threats.
