Two and a half months after reality TV participants Emily Cooper (23) and Idan Galfer (31) separated—a period during which they did not exactly hold back on social media—the person who has now decided to take a side in the conflict and speak out freely is Cooper's father, Dima. These remarks led this evening (Wednesday) to a quick response from Cooper, who clarified: "I am surprised and ashamed."

The singer's father, who works in radio, ended up today—at an interesting time, as she is just releasing a new song about her ex—on the Mediterranean evening program with Eliko on Radio Lev HaMedina FM91. He did not spare the presenter, his friend of 20 years, his opinion about his daughter's ex, or what he really felt when he made Kiddush with them, for example.

Eliko, who has known quite a few storms of his own against the backdrop of scandals with his ex Liraz Erez, asked Dima if he likes his daughter's new song. After he replied "very much," he was asked, "And Emily's ex?", and he answered clearly and sharply:

"The truth? I hate him. I hate him a lot."

The 54-year-old broadcaster then noted that Galfer had made Kiddush with Cooper and the family, but Dima continued firmly:

"He sat, I didn't want him to sit, to tell the truth. From the beginning of their whole relationship, I was very much against it. I didn't want to see him or for him to enter the house, but in the end, it's a daughter..."

In a story that Cooper uploaded this evening in response to her father's words, she wrote:

"I just saw the video of my father and I was surprised just like you. I want to apologize here to Idan for the words that were said there. My father works in radio and has known Eliko for 20 years. He didn't go there to be interviewed and certainly didn't come specifically for that. I am surprised and ashamed of the things that were said there and it is important to me that you know that this does not reflect me and my opinions. I love and respect Idan very much and the connection we went through together. Again, sorry from my heart."

Cooper and Galfer announced their separation last May, after quite a few rumors and shortly after they moved in together in Tel Aviv, an apartment where the reality star remained. The two met during the 2024 season of Big Brother. After their relationship did not last outside the house, they announced a comeback in May 2025 that did not succeed, to put it mildly.
