"I went through over 10 instances of harassment": "Big Brother" contestant on the entertainment industry's dark side
Moshe Dahari breaks his silence and speaks candidly about indecent proposals he received from powerful figures in the entertainment industry, including agents and journalists who offered promotion in exchange for sexual acts.
A contestant from the season of "Big Brother", Moshe Dahari, has decided to break his silence and open up about what goes on behind the scenes of the entertainment industry in Israel. In a candid interview, Dahari presents a complex picture of abuse of power, indecent proposals, and attempts at sexual extortion that he personally experienced from influential figures in the industry.
Dahari specifies that these were not anonymous messages on social media, but direct offers from powerful and well-known people, including agents and journalists. According to him, he encountered more than ten different cases of harassment by men who offered to promote him professionally or provide financial rewards in exchange for sexual acts and intimate content.
"I received all kinds of offers... absurd ones. Sexual offers in order to promote myself. From men, not from women. Just to promote you: 'Come take money, do this', 'Do you want to advance in advertising?'", Dahari shared on the "Batata Kursa" podcast.
When asked about the identity of those who approached him, Dahari clarified unequivocally that these are key figures in the field. "These are people in the industry. I went through a lot, but I am emotionally strong, I am not moved by it. If it reaches a moment where they touch me, I will put them in their place. But people just take advantage of other people's kindness," he stated, emphasizing that agents and journalists were among those involved.
Describing the patterns of the approaches, Dahari presented explicit examples: "I received an offer for a sum of money to send a video of myself naked, or an offer to advance in a campaign in exchange for sexual acts. I heard stories of all kinds of people who wanted to advance, and people took advantage of it." According to him, the phenomenon is much broader than attempts to harm him personally, and many in the industry succumb to these pressures out of a desire to succeed.
"I am here to tell these young people to stand their ground, not to try to advance in such a way," Dahari concluded.
