Two Jaffa Residents Arrested in Connection with Muhammad Katuwan Murder
Two Jaffa residents in their 30s were arrested on Wednesday over the August murder of Muhammad Katuwan, alongside a large seizure of cocaine and ecstasy pills.
Two Jaffa residents in their 30s were arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of involvement in the August 30 murder of Muhammad Katuwan in Jaffa. The arrests were carried out jointly by the Tel Aviv District Central Unit (YAMAR) and the Tel Aviv YAMAM/YAMAS tactical units as part of an ongoing covert and overt investigation.
During raids on the suspects' residential compounds, law enforcement discovered a large cache of narcotics. "During the search at their residence, cocaine and over a thousand ecstasy pills were seized," police stated officially. The suspects were transferred to YAMAR Tel Aviv offices for further questioning and will be brought before the Tel Aviv Magistrates' Court on Thursday for a remand hearing.
This development follows earlier breakthroughs in the complex case, including the September 2 arrest of a primary suspect. Police noted that intelligence operations led detectives to the key suspect, during whose arrest officers recovered a Sig Sauer handgun along with a loaded magazine and ammunition. His detention has been periodically extended by the court.
