American rapper Ja Rule, one of the most successful hip-hop stars of the early 2000s, is heading to Israel for a one-night-only performance scheduled for late October at the MAX Amphitheater in Rishon LeZion. Tickets go on sale this coming Sunday, with prices ranging from 349 to 700 shekels. An official after-party will follow the concert at Hangar 11.

Ja Rule rose to fame in the early 2000s by blending aggressive gangsta rap with pop and R&B, topping the US charts with hits like Put It On Me, Always On Time, and his famous collaboration with Jennifer Lopez on I'm Real (Murder Remix). He also dabbled in acting, landing a minor role in the first installment of the Fast and Furious franchise.

The American star is no stranger to controversy. In recent years, he made headlines for his involvement in the disastrous Fyre Festival, a luxury event in the Bahamas that devolved into a massive logistical failure. Despite the chaos, a federal court dismissed lawsuits against the rapper in 2019, ruling that evidence did not show he knowingly promoted false promises.
