Itay Dankner, Keshet's VP of Broadcasting, is crossing the aisle to become the head of the news division at Channel 13, replacing Tali Ben Ovadia. Dankner has served in his role at Keshet since 2019 and previously edited Ulpan Shishi. Ben Ovadia announced her intention to step down after the upcoming elections.
Dankner stated that Channel 13 is an exceptional news organization with experienced journalists, emphasizing that a strong and independent news company is vital for a democratic society. Idan Alrom, acting CEO of Channel 13, noted that Dankner brings significant journalistic and managerial experience crucial for the network during these challenging times.
