An Israeli tourist, 74-year-old Malka Lavie, has been reported missing in Paris, prompting an urgent appeal for public assistance from the Magnus International Search & Rescue company. Contact with Lavie was lost earlier on Monday afternoon.
According to the rescue agency, communication with Lavie was severed at approximately 14:20 local time. The last known sighting of the Israeli tourist was captured on security footage at a pharmacy located at 64 Boulevard Malesherbes in the 8th arrondissement of Paris.
Lavie is described as standing about 161 centimeters tall. Magnus has called upon all Israelis currently staying in Paris to remain vigilant and assist in the search efforts, urging anyone with relevant information to come forward immediately.
This incident recalls a similar overseas scare from less than two months ago, when Israelis anxiously awaited news regarding the disappearance of Meli and Liel Yahalomi. The two women, who had traveled to Europe for a vacation, were eventually located a week later in Argentina and safely released after authorities confirmed no criminal activity was involved.
