Israeli Defense Firms Showcase Advanced Rocket Motors and Unmanned Systems at AUSA
Israeli defense firms Tomer and IAI showcase cutting-edge military tech at AUSA in Washington, highlighting advanced rocket propulsion systems and tactical unmanned platforms.
Israeli defense companies are drawing significant attention at the AUSA defense exhibition in Washington, driven by ongoing operational demands from the Iron Swords war and engagements with Iran. Tomer, a state-owned defense company and Israel's national knowledge center for rocket propulsion, is showcasing advanced rocket motor capabilities, ranging from the Arrow missile boosters to Bar short- and medium-range surface-to-surface rocket engines.
Tomer is exhibiting at AUSA as part of a five-year business development plan aimed at expanding its presence in the United States. The company is developing motors for various ranges in collaboration with American defense firms specializing in missile and warhead manufacturing, ensuring that US-made systems are equipped with Tomer propulsion technology.
According to Tomer, the company has recently upgraded its infrastructure with innovative production lines to manufacture rocket motors efficiently, prioritizing support for the IDF and Israel's defense establishment. This surge in activity comes amid a dramatic global rise in demand for missiles and rockets as numerous nations significantly upgrade their defense arsenals.
Simultaneously, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and SIG SAUER have successfully completed live-fire tests of the FIRE STORM 250, an innovative tactical unmanned system. Equipped with the SIG SAUER MICROLIGHT remote-controlled weapon station and an M250 machine gun, the successful demonstration proved the system's ability to integrate aerial surveillance, target acquisition, and precision firepower in realistic combat scenarios.
Boaz Levy, CEO of Israel Aerospace Industries, emphasized the strategic importance of the trial, stating that the future of the battlefield will be determined by the ability to connect intelligence, technology, and operational force into a unified, precise response. The collaboration with SIG SAUER highlights IAI's commitment to strategic partnerships with global industry leaders, delivering next-generation unmanned systems that strengthen Israel's security and meet international client demands.
