US-Israel Security Ties and Iran to Dominate New York Conference
The Israel Hayom conference in New York on November 11 will highlight US-Israel security cooperation, featuring former Mossad chief David Barnea and defense leaders discussing post-war strategy.

US-Israel Security Cooperation Under the Spotlight at New York Summit
Following a year of unprecedented military and intelligence cooperation between Israel and the United States, security issues will take center stage at the annual Israel Hayom conference on November 11 at the InterContinental Times Square in New York.
One of the most notable speakers at the event will be former Mossad Director David Barnea, who concluded a five-year term leading the agency last June. His address follows a dramatic year in bilateral security relations, highlighted by the joint U.S.-Israeli military operation against Iran.
Joint Operations and Strategic Coordination
In February, the IDF and the U.S. military launched Operation Lion's Roar, a sweeping joint campaign targeting Iranian infrastructure. The IDF described the military coordination as historic, with thousands of targets struck across the Islamic Republic, including Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps facilities, missile batteries, and nuclear-related sites.
Another pillar of this deepened partnership is located in Kiryat Gat, where a civil-military coordination center operates under U.S. leadership with participation from the IDF, allied nations, and international organizations. The facility serves as a vital symbol of enhanced strategic synchronization regarding the future of the Gaza Strip.
The Evolving Threat Landscape
Discussions at the summit will extend beyond Iran. Alongside Barnea, participants will include Israel Aerospace Industries CEO Boaz Levy, Habithonistim movement chairman Brig. Gen. (Res.) Erez Weiner, and other senior defense figures from both nations to evaluate the new threat architecture.
"Israel is currently achieving victory over the ring of fire components built around it by Iran, but the battle for domestic security still lies ahead," said Brig. Gen. Weiner.
The conference will also focus heavily on civil society, infrastructure, and regional reconstruction. Michal Cohen, CEO of the Rashi Foundation, emphasized the stakes for evacuated communities: "Without the North and the South, there is no State of Israel. Returning residents to their homes is only the first step. The real test is our ability to give them compelling reasons to stay."
