Israel Railways announced schedule changes for Yom Kippur 2026, featuring reinforced train service on the holiday eve and full resumption on Tuesday.

Israel Railways has completed preparations for Yom Kippur 2026, announcing schedule adjustments across the network. On the eve of the holiday, Sunday, passenger trains will operate on a reinforced schedule until 1:00 PM only.
The service will follow Friday timetables with significant enhancements: train frequency on the Haifa-Tel Aviv line will be doubled compared to a standard Friday, running twice per hour. Additionally, a dedicated rail service will operate on the Hadera East - Rosh HaAyin North line.
Following tradition, no trains will operate on the night after the fast on Monday. Train services nationwide will resume fully on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, with night trains returning to regular operation.
Israel Railways advises passengers to check exact schedules in advance via the company website, mobile app, or by calling the customer service hotline at *5770.
