Israel Post Prepares for 40% Surge in November Shopping Parcels
Israel Post expects a 40% surge in parcel volumes during the November 2026 sales season, reinforcing logistics and urging consumers to use secure prepaid payment cards.

Israel Post is ramping up operations ahead of the November 2026 sales season, expecting a 30% to 40% surge in parcel volumes compared to routine periods. Millions of packages are anticipated to arrive in the country throughout the month, with hundreds of thousands processed daily.
To manage the influx, Israel Post has reinforced staffing across sorting centers, courier networks, and delivery teams to ensure timely distribution. Meanwhile, Postal Finance is urging consumers to use prepaid payment cards to manage budgets and protect primary bank accounts against a backdrop of rising online fraud during the peak shopping weeks.
Udi Sharon, CEO of Post Logistics, noted that November annually brings major retail events including Shopping IL, Singles' Day, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. Sharon emphasized that staff are operating around the clock to handle the heavy volume and deliver every package efficiently.
Ronen Galperin, CEO of Postal Finance, highlighted the heightened risk of phishing and cyber fraud during compressed online shopping windows. He recommended utilizing prepaid cards loaded with predefined amounts to isolate personal bank accounts from potential security breaches.
Israel Post has also published a series of safety and efficiency guidelines for online shoppers. Consumers are advised to provide complete and accurate addresses including seven-digit postal codes, verify import restrictions before purchasing, and stick to reputable e-commerce platforms.
Shoppers should retain tracking numbers for all shipments, remain vigilant against phishing text messages regarding customs or delivery fees, and pay in the site's local currency to avoid unnecessary conversion commissions. Additionally, buyers should note that orders valued up to 75 US dollars are exempt from VAT under applicable regulations, while purchases exceeding this threshold incur additional import taxes.
