The Israel Football Association launched a new retro jersey for the national team on Wednesday, inspired by the squad's kit from 1995, one of the most memorable eras in Israeli football.

The shirt takes fans back to the days of coach Shlomo Scharf's national team, which featured standout players such as Haim Revivo, Eyal Berkovic, Tal Banin, Reuven Atar, Alon Hazen, Rony Rosenthal, Bonni Ginzburg, and other prominent names.

To mark the launch, an entertaining promotional video was produced featuring Eyal Berkovic and Shlomo Scharf. In the clip, the two playfully argue over the team lineup and tactical formation, echoing the spirited dynamics from their playing days together.

The Football Association clarified that the jersey will not be worn by the national team in official matches, but is instead intended for sale in the official association store. "This is a special way for male and female fans to experience the team's history once again and feel part of the Israeli football story," the association stated.

The Israel national team is scheduled to return to the pitch soon in the UEFA Nations League, with four matches in the upcoming international window: away against Austria on September 24, at home against Ireland on September 27, at home against Kosovo on October 1, and away against Ireland again on October 4.
