According to the Irish Times, a last-minute boycott by Irish players is unlikely, and they are expected to take the pitch. However, a final decision has yet to be reached, and speculation suggests they may donate their match fees from both games against Israel to a Gaza-related charity.
Midfielder Jason Knight addressed the issue following a 1-0 defeat to Kosovo in Pristina. "Look, it's difficult. The manager, Dara O'Shea, and Nathan Collins have spoken about it very well," he said. "I don't think the game, of course, should be going ahead, but it is. We will have a deeper conversation about it and what it means, gather our thoughts as a group, and take it from there."
