Iranian Officials Issue Fresh Threats Against US Amid Leadership Health Rumors
Iranian officials issued fresh threats against the United States amid fears of renewed military strikes. Meanwhile, parliamentary speaker Qalibaf claimed Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is in good health, as regional diplomats push for de-escalation.

Iranian officials escalated their threats against the United States on Tuesday amid growing concerns over potential military strikes targeting the Islamic Republic. Meanwhile, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf claimed that Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is in complete health and high spirits, in an apparent effort to dispel persistent rumors regarding his medical condition.
The Deputy Speaker of the Iranian Parliament warned that any American action against the state would be met with a forceful response. These remarks echo warnings issued on Sunday by Speaker Qalibaf, who stated that any violation of Iran's sovereignty would draw retaliation exceeding the imagination of its adversaries. Qalibaf emphasized that threats of total war or assassinations will not deter Tehran from defending its rights and national interests.
In parallel, Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council and former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, criticized Washington's policies, asserting that the United States has failed to guarantee the security of any regional state. Rezaei previously cautioned neighboring nations against cooperating with American economic blockade measures, signaling that Iran may retaliate against countries participating in the pressure campaign.
Questions Surrounding Leadership Health
Alongside the security threats, Iranian officials continue efforts to dispel uncertainty surrounding the health of Mojtaba Khamenei, who succeeded his father, Ali Khamenei, in leading the Islamic Republic.
According to reports from Tehran, Qalibaf declared that Khamenei is fully healthy and in high spirits. Iranian state media reported a meeting between the two figures last week to discuss military, economic, and political developments, though no visual documentation was released to independently verify the Supreme Leader's condition.
These high-level statements come as regional countries actively seek to prevent a renewed escalation. According to foreign media reports, senior representatives from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan arrived in Tehran for diplomatic talks aimed at averting a wider military confrontation involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.
