Iran Plans to Expand Range and Speed of Its Missile Arsenal
Iran's military spokesman Mohammad Akraminia announced plans to increase missile speed and range following extensive regional strikes involving over 1,700 missiles and 4,000 drones over the past year.

Iran plans to significantly increase the speed and range of its missile arsenal, according to Mohammad Akraminia, a spokesman for the armed forces of the Islamic Republic.
Akraminia praised the performance of missiles used in recent conflicts, specifically highlighting surface-to-surface missiles targeting US bases in Kuwait and naval cruise missiles deployed against maritime vessels. He noted that operational strategies require adjustments because adversaries are now positioned up to 1,000 kilometers away from Iranian shores.
Over the past year, Iran has expanded its military strikes by launching over 1,700 ballistic and cruise missiles alongside approximately 4,000 unmanned aerial vehicles targeting at least ten Middle Eastern countries. Gulf states hosting US facilities bore the brunt of the attacks, with the UAE absorbing around 390 missiles and 1,800 drones, while Qatar and Kuwait each faced roughly 200 missile strikes.
