40 Million Shekel Investment: David InterContinental Hotel Unveils Major Renovation
One of Israel's leading luxury hotels has completed a large-scale upgrade project. The renovation includes the redesign of over 100 rooms, the launch of a new accommodation category, and the addition of luxurious suites with sea views.
The David InterContinental Tel Aviv hotel has unveiled a large-scale upgrade project featuring the launch of new 'Premium Terrace' rooms. Located on the fifth through tenth floors, this new accommodation category combines contemporary design, spaciousness, and open views of the Mediterranean Sea and the city of Tel Aviv.
The renovation process, backed by a 40 million shekel investment, encompassed approximately 105 rooms, including new suites set to open soon, as well as the redesign of all transition areas and corridors. The 'Premium Terrace' rooms were designed in alignment with the hospitality vision of the IHG Hotels & Resorts chain.

A highlight of these rooms is the combination of a spacious interior (approximately 28–30 square meters) with expansive private balconies of about 12 square meters—some of the largest in Tel Aviv. These balconies offer guests a serene space to enjoy sunsets and the shifting views of the Mediterranean and the city.
The room design draws inspiration from 'Hygge,' the Scandinavian philosophy emphasizing comfort, warmth, and balance. Interiors feature clean lines, light oak woodwork, natural textures, and a calm color palette in warm shades, complemented by blue accents inspired by the Mediterranean Sea.

Floor-to-ceiling glass doors invite natural light, strengthening the connection between the room, the balcony, and the scenery. Soft lighting and minimalist furniture create a homey, inviting atmosphere. The bathrooms feature natural materials, including stone surfaces, warm wood, and high-quality porcelain, complete with floating stone sinks, rain showers, and bathtubs. The project design was led by ARA Design, which has worked with the hotel since its establishment.
