Inon Magal under fire: "You lead the incitement against News 12 and Guy Peleg"
Against the backdrop of smashed glass and threats at the News 12 building, Ben Caspit attacked Inon Magal live on air, saying: "You lead the incitement against News 12 in general and Guy Peleg in particular. Maybe it's time to apologize?"
For the second time in a row, the glass doors of the News 12 building in Tel Aviv were smashed on the night between Monday and Tuesday, an event that sparked numerous reactions within both the political and media spheres.
In addition to the damage, a masked individual left a threatening letter at the scene:
"Next time the brick will be aimed at one of your heads. Treat the letter with gravity and full seriousness because in the end someone will die."
Inon Magal and Ben Caspit addressed the incident during their joint program on 103FM radio. Caspit attacked Magal live on air:
"The masked person attached a note stating that someone will die. You, as someone who leads the incitement against News 12 in general and Guy Peleg in particular, perhaps it is time to apologize?"
Magal replied cynically: "Maybe it is time to apologize for the act? I want to apologize, you caught me. I threw the blocks and I apologize for it, I will not do it again."
Ben Caspit, a political commentator and host of the television program "Meet the Press" on Channel 12, shared that his brother expressed concern for his life and suggested he obtain a gun license. Caspit declined, noting that his life is not worth the potential consequences of carrying a weapon.
Concluding his remarks, Caspit delivered a sharp message to Magal:
"You are playing with fire. I think it is not too late to say that disagreements are possible, but to claim they spilled soldiers' blood when the material came from the regulator... you are walking through a minefield. I am saying this not to argue with you."
Inon Magal, host of the television program "The Patriots" on Channel 14, remained unmoved. Referencing the Sde Teiman affair, Magal stated:
"Channel 12 published a video, blurred it, and claimed it showed sodomy under aggravating circumstances, when nothing of the sort was visible. In the end, it was not in the indictment. Did they not walk through a minefield on this matter, and shouldn't they apologize for the harm caused? Forget what they did to the IDF, the country, and the fighters."
