Indictments Filed in Israel for Separate Stabbings Over Noise and Bank Dispute
Prosecutors filed indictments in two separate violent stabbing incidents, including a dispute over loud music in Tverya and a customer attacking a bank employee in Yaffo.
The Northern District Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment today, Tuesday, at the Nof HaGalil-Nazaret District Court against a resident of Tverya, who is suspected of stabbing and seriously injuring his neighbor after the latter complained about loud music. The indictment charges the suspect with severe aggravated battery.
The incident took place about two weeks ago. The defendant's neighbor went to his apartment and asked him to turn down the music he was playing. Consequently, an argument broke out between the two at the building's entrance, during which the suspect attacked the neighbor, headbutted him, and stabbed him in the abdomen and leg. The victim was seriously injured in the incident, and the stabbing suspect fled the scene.
Two days later, the suspect was arrested by the Israel Police and transferred for interrogation. The suspect has been in custody since that day, and the indictment was filed against him today.
In a separate incident last week, an indictment was filed at the Tel Aviv Magistrates' Court against a 67-year-old bank customer for stabbing a 45-year-old female employee at a branch of Mizrahi Tefahot Bank on Derech Salame in Yaffo. According to the indictment, the motive for the actions was the defendant's dissatisfaction with the service he received at the branch after he was refused a cash withdrawal.
