Rescue teams in western India successfully saved a 70-year-old man who became trapped in a narrow 30-centimeter gap between two residential walls. The unusual incident took place in the city of Palghar, located in the Maharashtra state, according to reports by NDTV.
The victim, a local resident identified as Vinod Vishnu Jadhav, was freed after firefighters broke through an exterior wall of one of the buildings. Following the rescue, he was transferred to a government hospital in Palghar for medical evaluation and treatment.
Family members and neighbors who gathered at the scene described the successful rescue as a miracle. Video footage documenting the complex operation quickly spread across various social media platforms, as reported by Madhyamam.
According to local media outlets, Jadhav had gone missing early Tuesday morning before his faint cries for help alerted his family to the extremely tight space. Emergency responders determined that traditional extraction methods were impossible due to the severe spatial constraints, ultimately forcing them to breach the wall to create a safe access route.
